" no longer enough to denounce. We must now state. It is not enough to convey the urgency . It should also be started by defining the pathways that lead to the Way. What we are trying to contribute.
What are reasons for hope?
We can make five principles of hope.
1. The emergence of the improbable.
Thus successful resistance twice early in the great Athens Persian power, five centuries before our era, was highly unlikely and enabled the birth of democracy and that of philosophy. Also unexpected was the freezing of the German offensive before Moscow in autumn 1941, then-offensive against the improbable victory of Zhukov began Dec. 5 and Dec. 8 followed by the attack on Pearl Harbor that ushered the United States in the World War.
2. The virtues generators / creators inherent in humanity.
Just as there are in any human body adult stem cells with the abilities versatile (pluripotent) cell-specific embryonic, but inactivated, as it exists in every human being in every human society of regenerative virtues, generators, creative, dormant or inhibited.
3. The virtues of the crisis.
At the same time as regressive and disintegrative forces, the forces generating creative awakening in the global crisis of humanity.
4. What to combine the virtues Danger of
: "Where the danger is growing also grows what saves us." Supreme Luck is inseparable from the supreme risk.
5. Aspiration multimillennial of humanity in harmony
(paradise and utopia, and ideology libertarian / socialist / communist rebellion and juvenile and aspirations of the 1960s). This aspiration is reborn in the swarm dispersed and multiple initiatives that will feed the way of reform, destined to join the new path.
The hope was dead. Older generations are disillusioned false hopes. Younger generations are upset that there are more events like our resistance during WWII. But our cause was in itself the opposite. As Vasily Grossman said of Stalingrad, the biggest victory of humanity was at the same time its biggest defeat since the Stalinist totalitarianism came out victorious. The victory restored democracies at the same time their colonialism.
Today, the cause is clear, sublime: to save mankind.
expectancy knows she is not real sure. It is the hope not to the best of worlds, but a better world. The origin is before us, Heidegger said.
Metamorphosis is actually a new home. "
